This project
was completed for Sun International as part of their Atlantis Hotel and Casino development
in the Bahamas. An open cut 1,600-foot long tunnel below sea level was constructed
to provide vehicular access to the marina portion of the development. The
tunnel work consisted of the excavation of 120,000 CY of rock, the installation of an
extensive dewatering system, and the installation of 12,500 tons of rebar, 355 soil
anchors, 18,500 CY of concrete and the utility systems. |
