The Florida DOT and
Durocher partnered this project and it proved to be invaluable due to the unique and
complex nature of the work. The project required extensive demolition of the
existing slips and fender systems. New work consisted of lead abatement, painting,
epoxy injection and spall repairs. New steel H-pile and 20 inch diameter concrete
filled pipe pile along with approximately on million pounds of structural and
miscellaneous steel were utilized in the dock repair. The entire electrical system
was removed and replaced. This project was completed without interruption to the
scheduled ferry service. |
